About Me

Hi, my name is Laura (she/her) and I am here to listen to what is important to you. Life can feel overwhelming and leave us feeling lost and alone, and opening up to family and friends may feel difficult. Looking for a therapist can be daunting when you already have a lot on your mind, but you have taken the first step by being here, which takes courage. Working in a person-centred approach, our sessions will be collaborative, and together we will explore the difficulties you are experiencing and solutions that feel right for you. Being vulnerable can be hard and scary so I work to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to work through your struggles. This is your time, your space and I am here to accompany you on your journey.

Our sessions will be led by you; what is on your mind and areas you would like to explore. I won’t force you to talk about anything you don’t want to, nor will I offer advice. I believe everybody’s individual experiences are different and I want to understand what is happening for you, from your point of view and help you to feel empowered to find answers that are the right fit for you. Our sessions will be private and confidential, and a space I hope you feel comfortable to be open and honest about your experiences.

The therapeutic relationship is key to the counselling process so I offer a free, no-obligation initial 20-minute chat to see if you feel we could be the right match.
